Upload Your Bill
Why Do You Need My Electricity Bill?
Fair question, and the answer is short: your bill carries your NMI, the National Metering Identifier, the number that identifies your property's electricity connection. We need it to register your switch to our energy retail partner, Localvolts, which is the step that makes No Bill possible.
That's all we use it for. Your plan and price were set when you joined, and nothing on your bill changes them.
Every retailer lays their bills out a little differently, so you might need to look around for your NMI, but it's always there, most often on the front page near your name and address.
One bill is enough: your most recent bill for the property where your No Bill service is being set up, with the front page included.
What happens next
We'll check your bill, and your next email from us will be the sign-up link for our energy retail partner. If anything needs a second look, we'll contact you directly.
Your electricity bill allow us to:
Confirm your NMI and property details, so we can register your switch with our energy retail partner.
How do I upload my bills?
Digital bills
If your bill lands in your email inbox, download it to your computer or phone and attach it below using our upload form.
Physical bills
If your bill arrives in the mail, take a photo or scan it. Make sure the front page, where your NMI appears, is easy to read.
How many bills should I upload?
Just one: your most recent bill for the property where your No Bill service is being set up.
Some properties have more than one electricity connection, each with its own NMI. If that's you, please upload the most recent bill for each connection, and we'll sort it out from there.
